Problems with Other Kinds of Pipes

What other kinds of water pipes need to be replaced? There is a light gray colored plastic pipe called polybutylene. This pipe is not very common in close-in Portland, but if you have it, please replace it. The sooner the better! It becomes very brittle with age and develops leaks very easily.

Also, there is a white pipe called PVC that should not be installed within a house. Not to be confused with CPVC which is an off-white or yellowish in color.
